If Jamie Spears plans to ask a judge to review the terms of the conservatorship to release his daughter anytime soon, he may want to let Judge Reva Goetz know before the next scheduled review set for August 3, 2009.

TMZ reported last week that Jamie will ask the judge to review the terms of the conservatorship after Britney’s current tour ends in November. The story has received international attention through various media outlets, fan sites and independent bloggers. But not everyone believes the story.

“That’s not true,” says Vania Stuelp, deputy public information officer of the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Dear Sam,

I apologize for writing an open letter, but I didn’t know how to contact you while you were covering the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy.

I saw an article at KTLA-TV today that I wonder if you are aware and if so, whether it has your blessing. I believe you are in a leadership role?

KTLA’s article, Britney Spears Due in Court for Conservatorship Hearing reminds me of an article I read in the New York Times when one of its regular entertainment writers was on vacation. The writing was uncharacteristic in it seemed to have an intent to bias the public toward Jamie and the conservatorship. There was also an off apology later that stated Jamie had never lived solely off of his daughter. Because there were other errors worth correcting it was a little suspect.

The same is true about the odd KTLA announcement on its website today that Britney Spears will make a court appearance today.

The AP and LA Times have been stingy in sharing riveting new details from declarations filed at a Los Angeles Superior Courthouse this July stating Lynne Spears told numerous lies in her book, “Through the Storm, A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.”

The declarations support Sam Lutfi’s lawsuit against Lynne filed last February for libel, defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress as a result of what he calls Lynne’s lies and characterization of him. Lutfi had been a frequent companion of her daughter Britney, until Lynne filed a declaration supporting of a restraining order against him in early 2008. Many of Lynne’s statements from that declaration were included in her book published later in the fall of 2008.
